Melissa Officinalis (Balm Mint) Extract

Melissa Officinalis (Balm Mint) Extract

Melissa Officinalis is an herb in the mint family, now mostly cultivated in Europe.  Its product, Melissa Officinalis, or Balm Mint Extract, is hailed in skincare for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which cleanse pores and prevent skin issues such as acne.  This extract also contains antioxidant agents caffeic and ferulic acid to protect the skin from free radicals, reducing the development of fine lines and wrinkles.   Additionally, Balm Mint has a light fragrance of mint and lemon, which makes it a popular ingredient in natural skincare.
